Engraved figure from the Gabillou cave (Dordogne, France) dating to 22/17,000 years B.P. It seems to be an hybrid man-bison, popularly called “the Sorcerer”. The elongated arms, the slim body and erect posture are anthropomorphic elements. The head surmounted by horns, among which is drawn a crest, and the tail are characteristics pertaining to a bison. The engraving is found in a part of the cave which is very difficult to reach.
